We had a show time to aim for that evening but should have had plenty of time to comfortably eat beforehand. The place was heaving and seats hundreds, possibly 1000+ guests at at any given time. Our server was a pleasant guy but clearly had too much on his plate (no pun intended!). We chose T-Rex and after a relatively long wait (albeit at the bar with fantastic cocktails) we were eventually seated. It is also simliar with the animatronics, simulated storms and the extortionate prices! We were in downtown disney to see La Nouba so decided to eat here too. Similar to the Rainforest cafe in theming and unique design ideas. Kids and adults love the decor, but it can be very busy and loud. Lots of dinosaur clothing and toys available. There is a store just like at Rainforest Cafe. I would not recommend it if your party have difficulty with being over stimulated. We are members of Landry's club so we can go to the check in desk and not have to have reservations. Some of the items include dry ice for a fog effect. The food was good, expensive, but there is a lot of it. Some of the dinosaurs are animatronic and move. The colors can mess with the appearance of your food though! They have a meteor shower every so often that can be loud, complete with shooting meteors. The ice room is cool, it is made to look like an ice cave and the ice changes colors. Ambiance The restaurant’s dcor includes squawking pterosaurs, wooly mammoths, a massive octopus and life-sized animatronic dinosaurs. There are different sections, each featuring different dinosaurs. T-Rex Caf is a dinosaur themed restaurant located in Downtown Disney. We visit here every time we come to Disney. ![]()
